In a world of structure, we make space for wonder.

Step into a world where childhood is honored, curiosity leads the way, and learning grows through play.

About

Green Hive is a Reggio-inspired micro school in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. As a small, intentionally designed learning community, we offer an alternative to traditional early education, one that prioritizes relationships, creativity, and real-world exploration.

Our team of passionate educators supports children through collaborative projects, sensory rich environments, and art-based provocations that invite discovery. With low ratios and a home-like atmosphere, we’re able to respond to children as individuals, nurturing their voices, honoring their questions, and welcoming the hundred languages they use to make sense of the world.

Our Vision

At Green Hive, we believe early childhood is not a race to readiness, it’s a rich, unfolding journey of curiosity, connection, and creativity. In a world that often prioritizes structure and early academics, we make space for children to explore, express, and belong.

Grounded in decades of research on child development and learning through play, our program fosters the skills that matter most: self-regulation, empathy, critical thinking, and confidence. We honor each child’s unique path and create an environment where joyful, meaningful learning can thrive in the classroom and beyond.
