Lorelle's Curious Journey

Lorelle is an early childhood educator and researcher with over 12 years of experience. Born and raised in Utuado, a small mountain town in Puerto Rico, she grew up surrounded by teachers and spent her childhood on her grandparents’ farm, an experience that nurtured her love for nature, community, and storytelling.

She holds a B.A. in Psychology with a focus on Early Education from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s in Educational Intervention from the University of Navarre in Spain. Her academic path and professional journey have been rooted in one mission: understanding how children learn, and how we can better support their voices.

Lorelle spent years traveling through Europe, visiting schools and studying diverse educational models. While in Italy, she became deeply inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach. In 2023, she visited the Loris Malaguzzi International Center in Reggio Emilia and completed the Reggio Children Study Group certificate program.

“Research and documentation are powerful tools,” she says, “because they remind us that every child is unique and capable, and invite us, as educators, to continually reinvent our methods with empathy and cultural awareness.”

Green Hive is the realization of that vision, a joyful, inclusive micro-school where learning grows through play, community, and curiosity.
